This is indeed a sensitive subject but, as I wrote in other part of my web site, often what one believes is incipient baldness is really something else.
Let's try some simple observation exercise. If you suspect having one of those dreaded (no Pun) balding areas on your head, check out where it is located. Chances are that it is in the general area of a cowlick, or a growth pattern, of which we all have plenty on various parts of the heads.
Now, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do you have a distinct partition in the styling of your hair? Is your alleged baldness located around it
- Do you use a round brush or blow dryer your hair around this area?
- Do you let your hair dry naturally?
- Do you use a styling aid like gel, mouse, etc.? If yes, when you apply it do you run it through your hair?
- Did your stylist fail to instruct you on how to style his or her haircut?
If you answered yes to one or more of the questions above, you need help from a professional specializing in fine hair. However, click here to find a do-it-yourself solution for those pesky cowlicks and / or bald spots.
